Measurement

 Measurement

In this chapter, we are going to be looking at measuring.  We will start out looking at imperial measurements and how we can go between imperial and metric systems when measuring. We are then going into surface area and volume of geometric shapes.  There will be lots of formulas in this unit if you're someone that likes formulas.

Imperial Measurement

Lets look at the imperial measurement system and how to convert measurements between imperial and metric measurements.  We'll also look at the best way to convert units from one system to another.

This will bring us to P.21 in our Student Booklet.  We will have a quiz on Tuesday.

Ok, now lets look at surface area and volume of some geometric shapes.  There will be a lot of formulas in this section so it's a good idea to start a formula page that you can refer to.

Last set of formulas, lets look at spheres.

The last section of this unit is a combination of all the sections we have done so far.  We can answer problems that involve more than one geometric shape.  The good news is that we won't need anything new, just to put together everything we have done so far.
